[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Syed_Ahmad_Khan&diff=prev&oldid=1135933261 This edit] caught my attention where the user was seen restoring the exact same content as the master did [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Syed_Ahmad_Khan&diff=prev&oldid=1114453668 a while ago].
The editing styles and POVPUSH are way too similar, see for example [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Muhammad_Iqbal&diff=prev&oldid=1135929038 this sock edit] where the user adds "Now," to the infobox with exactly the same capitalization as the master had done multiple done, e.g. [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Emibai_Jinnah&diff=prev&oldid=1120706176 here].

- Blocked and tagged. The filer requested a CU because they say that IdkAboutYou has not been "linked here as such". That account was confirmed and tagged on January 11. The fact that it's not in the archive is immaterial. I'm therefore closing the report, although a clerk may choose to endorse a CU rather than archiving. Bbb23 (talk) 15:05, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

::Thanks for the ping, I even reverted this user earlier but didn't realize it. Both users are keen on adding Balochi as a provincial/minority language, see the extremely similar edit summaries and BingChillings restoration of PakistanHistorian's sock, by adding Balochi in the minority section of the infobox once more [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Balochi_language&diff=prev&oldid=1161833349] [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Balochi_language&diff=prev&oldid=1154433731]. The EIU of me and BingChillingChina probably has more proof, as they've more or less reverted me in their attempt to restore the edits of PakistanHistorian [https://sigma.toolforge.org/editorinteract.py?users=HistoryofIran&users=BingChillingChina]. - Same area, but on a range they've rarely used. I'd put it right around a weak {{Possible}}. I'll note that in the first diff it's an undo of an edit rather than a new addition, and that the POV they're pushing doesn't seem to be a particularly rare one. - The behavioral indicators, while suspicious, are weak. Hi, I’m just chiming in to defend myself against this completely wrongful and misguided accusation as I have absolutely nothing to do with the account mentioned and that I’m accused of ‘sockpuppeting’. I have only recently started editing on Wikipedia and I’m still learning a lot and almost never engage in edit wars or anything similar unless there’s a lack of consistency in information or someone takes part in vandalism, which I always try to revert. Would be extremely kind and meaningful if I wasn’t dealt with harshly and had wrongful accusations thrown at me. I will try my best to keep improving my editing. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trekkie49 (talk • contribs) 13:11, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
Another thing I want to respond to is the accusation made by Fylindfotberserk that I’m somehow working with the account Adequatist but as you’ll find that that account has actually changed my edits entirely and added information that completely contradicted my edit. I actually wanted to revert edits by Adequatist as I thought it was vandalism but I didn’t want to end up in a situation where I was accused of edit warring with Adequatist. Rest assured, i can guarantee that I have absolutely no connection or similarity with that account. Just because they edited the a page at a similar time(by actually completely changing my edit) does not prove any link whatsoever.
It would be extremely helpful if I didn't have completely wrong and hostile accusations thrown at me. I admit I might not be the best editor as I’m still trying to learn but please don’t wrongfully associate me with other accounts. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trekkie49 (talk • contribs) 13:48, 8 September 2024 (UTC)

This highly disruptive editor is active again disrupting pages with their language related POV pushing. @Gotitbro mentioned under Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/PakistanHistorian/Archive#08 September 2024 that 2407:d000:f::/48 is already blocked but it is highly active again. @Izno, you mentioned that I should go to AIV instead of pinging but I [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism&diff=prev&oldid=1263294125 went there] and report got archived without anyone taking an action. We really need some help to stop this user's disruption and stop influencing consensus building with his sockpuppeting. Two well-meaning editors are spending their valuable time discussing disruptions here simply because they have no other choice. This is time that could have been better utilised elsewhere. - I have said that but not obviously in applied to this case that I can see.... I try to sprinkle my considers around for cases where it's pretty obvious to someone looking on that it's the same person. I've blocked the two IPs here. Some thoughts about the specific report you made: learn what a /64 is, all of the IPv6 addresses here are the same and it's likely someone will do more to help at AIV when they have a whole collection of contributions to display (and the specific range you want blocked). Secondly, make it very clear what the connection is in the report (same revert from one person versus another etc), just as you would at SPI. "They're disrupting" is rarely going to work out for you, either here {{em|or}} AIV. Izno (talk) 21:01, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

- Extremely similar edits, compare the edit of [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pahari-Pothwari&diff=prev&oldid=1269836257 LiteraryHistorian] to the edit of these two socks [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pahari-Pothwari&diff=prev&oldid=1256793509 Tareekh-e-History] [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pahari-Pothwari&diff=prev&oldid=1244547766 Adequatist], changing Indo-Aryan language and Lahnda to Western Punjabi, and as noted in several other SPIs, PakistanHistorian loves to call these languages for "variety/varieties" (eg [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/PakistanHistorian/Archive#09_December_2023] [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/PakistanHistorian/Archive#29_August_2024]), which was also done with LiteraryHistorian's edit. - :No sense of the claims; it is not a User:PakistanHistorian sockpuppetry or POV-push; "Lahnda" and "Western Punjabi" are synonyms that refer to the same group of dialects. The term "variety" is a neutral stance between a "dialect" and a "language". The references with Lahnda varieties source this. Many languages/dialects use this, if more than one person has made such edit, it doesn't equate sockpuppetry. The theory of "varieties" is widely accepted in linguistics. So leave the decision of it up to the references/sources, instead of bringing fourth your own opinions. LiteraryHistorian (talk) 20:05, 16 January 2025 (UTC)

- Brand new account created some days after the latest sock of PakistanHistorian was blocked.
- A brand new user edits a template as their first article? [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Ethnic_groups_in_Pakistan&diff=prev&oldid=1272917701]
- A brand new user knows Wiki lingo ("Lede improvements", "Cleaned-up") and how to format stuff in one of their first edits? [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sindh&diff=prev&oldid=1273065473] [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Punjab&diff=prev&oldid=1272920467]
- Like PakistanHistorian, they immediately start editing on Lahnda related stuff such as Saraiki language [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Saraiki_language&diff=prev&oldid=1273122198], amongst other things changing "Punjabic" to "Punjabi" (like PakistanHistorian [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Saraiki_language&diff=prev&oldid=1256794058]) and using efn note formats (like PakistanHistorian [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Punjabi_language&diff=prev&oldid=1243695900]). Same habit of removing mentions of a Saraiki language/ethnicity and replacing it with "Punjabi", see the following for example: [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1280866101&oldid=1280688343&title=Bahawalpur_(princely_state)] MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 13:49, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

- There is no "new user" that makes such an impressive first edit [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sindhis&diff=prev&oldid=1284735781], familiar with Wiki editing and even formatting (even efn notes, which PakistanHistorian is well-known for using, eg [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/PakistanHistorian/Archive#01_February_2025]).
- Also immediately starts editing Saraiki people, a topic which PakistanHistorian has focused on multiple times, including the SPI before this.
- Chances of a new user immediately citing not often cited policies such as WP:CONCISE and WP:PRECISE is pretty low [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Saraikis&diff=prev&oldid=1285714716] HistoryofIran (talk) 16:25, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
