WikiProject Australian motorsport is a project to help create, improve and maintain articles relating to motorsport in Australia.

Articles maintained by this WikiProject are grouped in :Category:WikiProject Australian motorsport articles and their importance in the context of Australian motorsport indicated by using the motorsport and motorsport-importance parameters within the {{tl|WikiProject Australia}} template.

Usage: {{WikiProject Australia|motorsport=yes|motorsport-importance=xxx}}, where "xxx" = "Top", "High", "Mid", "Low" or "NA"

Scope

The aim of this project is to meet the following objectives regarding Australian motorsport including the V8 Supercar series:

Create driver, team, circuit and event information templates
Upload photographs of all current drivers and past champions (at least) in major series
Gather statistics and data for all recent drivers, teams, circuits and seasons
Formulate a standardised page layout for drivers, teams, circuits and seasons
Bring the quality of existing articles up to at least C-class, preferably higher

= Parentage =

The parent WikiProject is WikiProject Australian sports, a child of WikiProject Australia. There is also parentage to WikiProject Motorsport.
