Zipper Interactive was an American video game developer based in Redmond, Washington and part of SCE Worldwide Studios. It was founded in June 1995 by Jim Bosler and Brian Soderberg.{{cite magazine|last=Sherman |first=Chris |title=NATO's Got Zip on these Guys |magazine=Next Generation|issue=18|publisher=Imagine Media|date=June 1996|page=22}} It is best known for developing the SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs series of games. SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs was created in collaboration with the Naval Special Warfare Command and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. Closure

On March 29, 2012, Sony announced that it would be closing Zipper Interactive due to "resource re-alignment." One was another entry in the SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs series, and the other was a first-person shooter meant to be a new IP.
