The remaining five teams advanced to a qualifying event—the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier—along with five Associate sides, from which two sides went through to the World Cup.{{cite web |url=http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/18611956/radical-schedule-shake-proposed-icc-meeting |title=New cricket calendar aims to give all formats more context |work=ESPNcricinfo |date=4 February 2017 |access-date=20 October 2017 |archive-date=20 October 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20171020191940/http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/18611956/radical-schedule-shake-proposed-icc-meeting |url-status=live }}

The top twelve teams in this Super League remain in the Super League for the next World Cup cycle. The 13th ranked team in this Super League and the champions of the 2019–22 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 took part in World Cup Qualifier, where the better team placed the 13th spot in the next Super League while the team ranked lower qualified in the next League 2.{{Cite web|url=https://www.firstpost.com/firstcricket/sports-news/explainer-with-2023-cricket-world-cup-qualifying-process-underway-heres-a-breakdown-of-iccs-new-look-league-structure-7172161.html|title=Explainer: With 2023 Cricket World Cup qualifying process underway, here's a breakdown of ICC's new-look league structure|last=de Jong|first=Bertus|date=16 August 2019|website=Firstpost|access-date=16 August 2019|archive-date=16 August 2019|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20190816065628/https://www.firstpost.com/firstcricket/sports-news/explainer-with-2023-cricket-world-cup-qualifying-process-underway-heres-a-breakdown-of-iccs-new-look-league-structure-7172161.html|url-status=live}}{{Cite web|url=https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/27384084/how-teams-secure-qualification-rank-no-1-32|title=The road to World Cup 2023: how teams can secure qualification, from rank No. 1 to 32|last=Della Penna|first=Peter|date=14 August 2019|work=ESPNcricinfo|access-date=16 August 2019|archive-date=14 August 2019|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20190814124924/https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/27384084/how-teams-secure-qualification-rank-no-1-32|url-status=live}}
