The Hyundai Delta family is the company's smaller V6 engine, ranging from {{cvt|2493|to|2656|cc|L|1|order=flip}}. Both share the same {{cvt|75|mm|in|2}} stroke and both are DOHC designs.

The G6BW/G6BV (also called the 2.5 D) is the {{cvt|2493|cc|L cuin|1|order=flip}} version in a 90˚ configuration with an {{cvt|84|mm|in|2}} bore. Output is {{cvt|172|-|180|PS|hp kW|0}} at 6,000 rpm and {{cvt|22.9|-|23.5|kgm|Nm lbft|0}} at 4,000 rpm. It made its first appearance in the 1999 EF series Sonata.

The G6BA/G6BAX/G6BAY (also called the 2.7 D) is the larger {{cvt|2656|cc|L cuin|1|order=flip}} version available in either 60˚ or 90˚ configuration with an {{cvt|86.7|mm|in}} bore. Output is {{cvt|167|-|185|PS|hp kW|0}} at 6,000 rpm and {{cvt|25|-|25.8|kgm|Nm lbft|0}} of torque at 4,000 rpm. It has an aluminum engine block and aluminum DOHC cylinder heads. It uses Multi-port fuel injection, has 4 valves per cylinder, and features powder metal-forged, fracture-split connecting rods.
