Kota Tinggi District

The district has an area of 3,482 km². In terms of citizenship, {{pct|208,575|222,382|1}} were citizens and {{pct|13,807|222,382|1}} were non-citizens. In terms of race among the citizens, {{pct|183,576|208,575|1}} were bumiputeras (out of which {{pct|180,377|183,576|1}} were Malays), {{pct|18,630|208,575|1}} were Chinese, {{pct|5,541|208,575|1}} were Indians, and {{pct|828|208,575|1}} were other than the aforementioned races.

Meanwhile, Pengerang Municipal Council governs the southern part and encompasses the mukims of Johor Lama, Pantai Timur, Pengerang, Sedili Kecil and Tanjung Surat.

60% of the district land is used for agriculture purpose.
