|desc= The troop ship, probably one of Admiral Christian's West Indies convoy, was wrecked within a cable length of Loe Bar, Cornwall during a ″great storm″ in Mount's Bay. The ship was carrying between 400 and 600 officers and men of the 26th Regiment of Dragoons; not one of the crew or passengers survived. Large quantities of wreckage were washed up including dead horses with D26 brands on their hooves.
