Minab

The second-largest city in the province of Hormozgan is Minab, which is located in southern Iran. It is situated along the Sea of Oman coast. Citrus fruits, dates, grains, tomatoes, oranges, and mangoes are all produced in large quantities in the area thanks to the favorable natural conditions.

Ardashir Babakan is recognized as having started the construction of Minab. However, according to the locals of this city, it was constructed in the distant past by two sisters by the names of Bibi Mino and Bibi Naznin. The Minab Castle is the only structure that still exists from Minab, a once-thriving city that was obliterated by the Mongol invasion, according to historical records. Embroidery, mat weaving, palm leaf weaving, embroidery, and pottery are examples of Minab's handicrafts. The Esteghlal Dam, Thursday Market, Aashagh Temple, and Hazareh Castle are a few of the city's attractions.

Minab has a hot desert climate (Köppen climate classification BWh). Maximum temperature in summers with daytime averages of 37°C (99°F) from May to September while in winters the minimum temperature may drop to {{convert|10|°C|°F}}. The annual rainfall is around {{convert|124|mm|in}}.
