Fix the mobile view for IATA, ICAO and callsign fields
{{FPER|answered=yes}}
By default, the mobile view usually used display: block
property to make tables scrollable, especially gives benefits to larger one. However, on this template, this makes IATA, ICAO and callsign fields narrower, and shift to left. To fix the display issue, I used display: table
property in there, after submit my change, this property is successfully resolved the problem while I view the test cases. You can also reproduce by opening mobile version of the test cases in this [https://codebeautify.org/responsive-website-tester Responsive Website Tester]. -- Great Brightstar (talk) 10:18, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
:This fix is made based on my discoveries on {{tl|rail freight}} and {{tl|pax}}. -- Great Brightstar (talk) 15:14, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
::{{done}} {{ping|Great Brightstar}} this has been updated, please let me know if any issues. (any TE/sysop is welcome to revert without consult as needed). — xaosflux Talk 19:17, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
=Subsequent fix=
I found a another issue that caused line height extremely wide while I see Korean Air on my phone, because the skin set display:flex;flex-flow:column nowrap
for caption. To fix that, I suggest removing display:table
from this template and insert this line instead:
:{{to|Great Brightstar}} the sandbox has been synched to the live template – can you load the sandbox with the correct code to get the result you want? P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 13:59, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

Airline type
There is no field to indicate the type of airline (like passenger, cargo, charter). That seems to me to be a key fact that does belong in the infobox. It was suggested once before: {{tq|Do we need to add some indicator about the type or airline/service offered? This could include mainline/scheduled, regional/scheduled, charter, cargo, military airlift, tour (helicopter and fixed wing). Or is this best left to the body of the article?}} about 16 years ago and went unanswered then. MB 16:00, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
Deoghar Airport
Hi, Hope whoever is reading this you're doing great. Humble request you to kindly have a look on an article named "Deoghar Airport". A user named "Alotorus" is adding a connecting/layover flights in airlines and destination section of "Deoghar Airport". I told him not to add this connecting flights as it against Wikipedia policies but he won't listen and he keeps reverting the edits done by me and some other user.The news citation attached by him clearly states that this is a connecting flight not the direct one's. Please kindly look into it. Thanks Flashthomsom (talk) 19:23, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
Integrating Template:If empty
{{FPER|answered=yes}}
I just added {{tl|if empty}} in sandbox, with this template one of the IATA, ICAO and callsign fields would default to dash even if you input blank value for parameter. This is based on my investigations in {{tl|Infobox person}} and {{tl|Infobox scientist}}. -- Great Brightstar (talk) 17:19, 4 April 2023 (UTC)

Listing hubs
The instructions for this template say that editors should use the full name of the airline's hubs, secondary hubs, focus cities and operating bases. That can lead to a situation like what we see on the Saudia page where the list reads like this:
- King Abdulaziz International Airport
- King Khalid International Airport
- King Fahd International Airport
This is absolutely meaningless to the casual reader (our audience) and probably many knowledgeable readers too. I'd like to propose we move to a system of using the same city names as we use elsewhere (such as Template:Airport-dest-list). Under my proposal, the above example would look like this:
- Dammam
- Jeddah
- Riyadh
-- RickyCourtney (talk) 20:58, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
:I also want to point out that the current situation is that roughly half of pages follow my proposed format. The other half sort of follow the template's suggested format. However, none I've seen actually use the Wikidata entries that the template calls for. -- RickyCourtney (talk) 21:17, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
::On the one hand, we have to bear in mind WP:NOTRAVEL regarding the casual reader. On the other hand, an airline hub is defined as an airport, not as a city.--Jetstreamer {{sup|Talk}} 21:23, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
:::When many airlines list their hubs, they use city names, not airport names. Examples: [https://news.alaskaair.com/cities-served/ Alaska Airlines], [https://news.delta.com/corporate-stats-and-facts Delta Air Lines]. RickyCourtney (talk) 22:07, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

{{outdent}}It doesn't matter if they are stable or not, they do not follow the proposed guidelines of this template. We are discussing a change in the template's guidelines in order to proceed with your proposed changes. Edit request 27 September 2023: Directly link to Toolforge tool
{{Edit template-protected|answered=yes}}
Please apply this sandbox diff to the template (the sandbox was previously identical to the template, so copying the full contents should be enough). This will change the ISIN link to directly link to the tool instead of going via the iw.toolforge.org/isin redirect, slightly speeding up the request for users and improving Special:LinkSearch integration. (Compare recent edit requests on Template talk:Photo requested and Template talk:Image requested.) Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 23:00, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
