Sulfur lighting has several advantages over other commercially available technologies:

• Quality of light. At a color temperature of 6000 K and a color rendering index (CRI) of 79, sulfur light closely resembles the sun's natural spectrum. Sulfur light is very low in harmful ultraviolet (

• Efficiency. About as efficient as the best available high-pressure sodium lamps, with efficacies of 90-110 lumens per watt.

• Long life. There are no filaments or electrodes to bum out or degrade. The magnetron is rated at 15,000 hours, while the lamp system is rated at 45,000 hours.

• Lumen depreciation. Light output does not depreciate as significantly over the life of the lamp, as other technologies.

• Dimmable. Sulfur technology allows dimming from 30-100% of full output.
