Hello everyone, I am Andykatib and I live in Dunedin, New Zealand. I was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1991 and lived in Malaysia for 12 years. I did my high school, undergraduate, and MA studies in Dunedin in the South Island before doing my PhD in Auckland between 2016 and late 2020. I am interested in history, politics, Star Wars, and superhero comics and films. I also have an account at Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wikia.
Between 2010 and 2015, I studied history and politics at the University of Otago; completing a combined BA (Hons) degree in May 2014 and an MA degree in December 2015. My MA thesis looked at New Zealand–Indonesian relations during the Sukarno era and is available at [https://ourarchive.otago.ac.nz/handle/10523/5960 this link].
Between 2016 and 2021, I pursued a PhD in political science at the University of Auckland, looking at advocacy groups in New Zealand and Australia that advocate on Israel-Palestine issues. I successfully defended my PhD in September 2021 and graduated in May 2022. I am currently working as a delivery driver at Domino's Pizza in Dunedin.
