[[User:SnakeBot]] and templates
Hi Jacob,
There is shortcoming with SnakeBot. When adding interwikis to templates, there are two things to keep in mind: (1) Some templates specify that interwiki links go in an includeonly section of a /doc subpage, which is itself then transcluded into the template's main page in a noinclude section. (2) Even if that situation doesn't apply, under no circumstances should template interwikis be added outside a noinclude section.
See, for example, [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Todo&diff=prev&oldid=163588866 this revert]. If you put interwiki links outside a noinclude section, then all pages that use the template pick up the interwikis, too, which is undesirable. — TKD::Talk 16:23, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

You've lost me
Sorry you've lost me - it's a long standing convention of the MOS that we use the surnames of people to identify them. The only issue is in sentences where members of the same family are mentioned and there is a need to differentiate them (or in a few other specific cases such as the article on the disappearance of Madeline McCann). I don't see that issue here, can you explain further? --Cameron Scott (talk) 19:16, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
:: It's the manual of Style, it basically the writing guide we follow here, as you can see - [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(biographies)#Subsequent_uses_of_names After the initial mention of any name, the person should be referred to by surname only, without an honorific prefix such as "Mr", "Mrs", "Miss", or "Ms".] --Cameron Scott (talk) 20:39, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
::: Sure - Can I suggest you copy our conversations across to any discussions you make as an example of the problem. --Cameron Scott (talk) 21:14, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Please restore the image :Image:Fr.John.jpg. Why did you delete? The decision of discussion was keep. --Jacob.jose (talk) 04:07, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
:I'm not sure how you get a keep result from the discussion so I will explain. Springnuts argued that the image was a copyright violation, Low Quality and that it did not meet two of the non-free content criteria. Specifically critera 8 and 10 which require, in order, that the image significantly increase reader's understanding of the article's topic and that the image description page tells how this is the case. In deciding whether or not to delete the image I have to assess the strength of the arguments given, as they relate to Wikipedia's policies. From this I decided that the image failed to meet points 1,8 and 10 of the criteria I have to use in deciding if it is fair for us to keep a copyrighted image. The image was of such low-quality that I cannot see how it could significantly increase reader's understanding, the image description page did not address the 10 points of the WP:NFCC criteria, and as the image was of low-quality it is arguably replaceable by text alone describing his appearance - Peripitus (Talk) 05:32, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do. One area in particular need of attention right now is the content related to the Oriental Orthodox churches. Several of the topics within this field are of great importance, including the churches themselves, their histories, thinking, and some of the individuals associated with it. Unfortunately, the number of people who belong to the churches, and, correspondingly, the number of editors working on that content, is smaller than it could be. Anyone interested in helping to develop this content is more than welcome to look at the Wikipedia:WikiProject Oriental Orthodoxy page and seeing where they can help out.
