GOCE coordinators and other experienced Guild members will carry out random checks to ensure that copy edits are of a satisfactory standard. If you are willing to help with reviewing, please sign up below.

10% of each participant's copy edits from the backlog should be checked, and all copy edits from the Requests page should be reviewed, time permitting. Please choose articles at random and do not inspect your own copy edits. After checking articles, place a {{tl|checked}} template after the article on the listing and sign your username with four tildes (~~~~). If a rough consensus finds that a copy edit is not of an acceptable standard, the tag will be re-added and the editor will be penalized 1,200 words plus the word count of the reviewed article. The reviewer may give advice on how the edit could have been improved without penalizing the editor. Please raise any questions on the Coordinators' talk page.

How to record articles you have copy edited:

• Remove any extant {{tl|copy edit}} tags from the article.
• When you sign up, your section is automatically populated with {{Green|# {{Working}} () }} and {{Green|# {{Completed}} ()}}:
• Article titles go in wikilinks {{Green|}}. List the article's full title, not an abbreviated version.
• Article word counts go in round brackets {{Green|()}}: use this script to get the page's word count. Count the words in the version of the article that existed before you started editing.
• Place articles you're working on on the {{tl|Working}} line. When you've finished your copy edit, change {{tl|Working}} to {{tl|Completed}}
• If the article is from the GOCE Requests page, place *R after the word count. If it was tagged in December 2015, January 2016, and February 2016, place *O after the word count.
• Place any comments between the article title and the word count.
• Do not list articles on which you have placed {{tl|GOCEreviewed}} instead of copy editing them, or which needed no copy editing.
• Do not add the 50% bonus for Requests or Oldest articles—a coordinator will apply the bonuses after the drive is over.
• If you want your work checked, you can request it on the drive talk page.

I removed the James Kurian article from my working list because I concur with the recommendation to delete the article. My opinion is that the article is promotional at best and otherwise, highly misleading.

Re: John Skelton - This article has a large section which appears copy-pasted. It's not a short article, so I've consulted Jonesey about swiftly deleting material which is copy-pasted from Encyclopaedia Brittanica.

Re: Suicide Squad - This article continues to need more in-universe scrubbing. I'm adding some "citation needed"templates to note areas of claims that appear to be either original research or simply unsubstantiated. I started working on this prior to joining the CE Guild and found a really nice message from Miniapolis encouraging me to add this article to my list. I didn't count the original word count so the current count is...well current. The timebox on this will expire tonight so whatever get's done in the next hour or so is "all she wrote" for this drive. Happy to keep pressing on it!
