In case you missed it, you can now [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PageAssessments#Search do searches within wikiprojects].The documentation however isn't currently clear for how to use this within WP United States.

• If you want to search within the entirety of WP US, use the keyword inproject:"United States"
• If you want to search within a subproject of WP US, use the keyword inproject:"United States/WikiProject {projectname}"
• Example: inproject:"United States/WikiProject Louisville" will do searches within WikiProject Louisville

I noticed that {{tl|WikiProject Nevada}} is marked as an inactive project. Any thoughts on at least making it a subproject of this one, like many of the other states that don't have their own project, and do something that will be similar to, say, {{tl|WikiProject Arkansas}}, where it's a wrapper of the US project banner? Nevada ("NV" and "NV-importance") parameters would have to be added to the US project banner, but I don't know everything else that may be involved to accomplish this. Thanks. Hey I am working on this biography about this man named Draft:Abner Vance, I stumbled upon him when researching the Draft:Hatfield family.

Abner Vance might be of interest to y'all because he appears to be the ancestor to JD Vance.

Right now, I haven't found any sources to confirm this connection yet. But I believe JD Vance did claim to be related to Abner Vance and I have stumbled upon many other sources that stated Abner and his descendants are related to other notable people in American history.

Just in the past 15 minutes, I've come across at least two separate articles about US state legislators, who were filed in {{cl|21st-century members of the United States House of Representatives}}, despite never having served in that body, instead of "21st-century members of [Appropriate State Legislature]".

If I stumbled across two by pure chance without even actively looking for that, then there are undoubtedly others as well, but since I'm a Canadian who couldn't name more than a small handful of US Representatives if I tried, I'm not the guy who could actively take on the job of finding any others. So is there anybody with more expertise on that subject who'd be willing and able to take on a check to make sure that everybody who's in that category actually belongs there? Thanks. As far as I can tell, the (currently semi-active) Indiana wikiproject has been included in WP United States since 2011, yet {{tl|WikiProject Indiana}} hasn't been deprecated like other WP US-included state banners. Also, the front page of the wikiproject directs editors to use the {{tl|WikiProject United States}} banner while its Assessments page shows the old banner. I would proceed with correcting these things, but I wanted to post here first to see if I was missing something. Is this project permitted to use either banner for some reason, or was as I suspect, the transition to WP US not ever fully completed? In the 2026 US Iowa Senate race, there's a candidate called Nathan Sage. He doesn't have an article, which normally nobody cares about, but he is considered to be the best candidate to win the nomination. Currently there's a draft of the article on Sage, and if you can help edit on that page, it would be good.
