actin-binding protein

Actin-binding proteins (also known as ABPs) are proteins that bind to actin.{{cite journal |vauthors=dos Remedios CG, Chhabra D, Kekic M |title=Actin binding proteins: regulation of cytoskeletal microfilaments |journal=Physiol. Rev. |volume=83 |issue=2 |pages=433–73 |date=April 2003 |pmid=12663865 |doi=10.1152/physrev.00026.2002 |url=http://physrev.physiology.org/cgi/pmidlookup?view=long&pmid=12663865|display-authors=etal}} This may mean ability to bind actin monomers, or polymers, or both.

Many actin-binding proteins, including α-actinin, β-spectrin, dystrophin, utrophin and fimbrin, do this through the actin-binding calponin homology domain.

This is a list of actin-binding proteins in alphabetical order.
