The voiced alveolo-palatal sibilant fricative is a type of consonantal sound, used in some spoken languages. The symbol in the International Phonetic Alphabet that represents this sound is {{angbr IPA|ʑ}} ("z", plus the curl also found in its voiceless counterpart {{IPAalink|ɕ}}), and the equivalent X-SAMPA symbol is z\
. It is the sibilant equivalent of the voiced palatal fricative, and as such it can be transcribed in IPA with {{angbr IPA|ʝ˖}}.
