Flags in infoboxes
Hi, Buaidh. I'm seeing you adding the Colorado flags to various towns in that state, so I wanted to highlight MOS:INFOBOXFLAG, which states:
:{{tq|Generally, flag icons should not be used in infoboxes, even when there is a "country", "nationality" or equivalent field: they could be unnecessarily distracting and might give undue prominence to one field among many. Flag icons should only be inserted in infoboxes in those cases where they convey information in addition to the text.}}
Given this guideline, you may wish to reconsider adding state flags. — hike395 (talk) 23:28, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
:{{re|Hike395}} We've been doing this for a long time, but I'll remove them. Thanks, Buaidh talk e-mail 01:41, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Colorado communities
1) "statutory town", "home rule city", and similar terms should not be capitalized in the intro of community articles. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 01:59, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
2) You are spamming far too much state stuff in the "see also" and "external links" sections of community articles. State-only information should be the state article, not in every community article.
3) The "subdivision_name2" county field in the infobox should not include the word "County" on the right side.
4) "United States" in the infobox and intro should not be wiki-linked.
5) The right side of "postal_code_type" field should be "ZIP Code", both words in uppercase, per the article title.
If you disagree, then please discuss in the talk section at WP:USCITY.

Colorado populated places verification
Hi, I added a dozen railroad sidings to the list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Colorado/GNIS places needing verification and there will likely be quite a few more as I comb through the lists. Most of them are just a side track with a grain elevator, labelled as "station" in [https://history.denverlibrary.org/sites/history/files/Place_Names_of_Colorado.pdf Place Names of Colorado] with no significant hits in newspaper searches, but I wanted to give you and others a chance to look for sources. Let me know if this process works well for you, I'm more accustomed to going through AfD with standalone articles and I want to make sure I'm getting it right. –dlthewave ☎ 20:44, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

Guidance needed, US Census data
Hi, are you still involved with the US Census data on English wikipedia articles? I need some guidance, and I'm not sure where to turn.
Briefly, I've been updating the Cinco Ranch, Texas article. When the Rambot first added census data, it probably made sense, and people or bots continued to update it. However the problem now is that the Cinco Ranch planned community is substantially bigger than the boundaries of the Cinco Ranch CDP (the community is about twice the size of the CDP), and there is no meaningful "Cinco Ranch CDP"—the local understanding of "Cinco Ranch" is always the entire community.
So, I can update the Census data to be for the entire community, but it's a bit of work. Looking at the Census maps and community boundaries, I would need to download and then aggregate data across multiple Census block groups (even Census tracts are not granular enough to be roughly correct), and I don't want to proceed with that if that's the wrong move. I've looked for reporting of 2020 Census data for the community, but everything I've found either scrapes from the wikipedia article or gives Census data for something quite different (one of the two counties, for example).
I'm sure this has come up before—how has it been handled for other articles with similar issues? Wikipedian-in-Waiting (talk) 21:01, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
Weighing in on the Carolina Gainza discussion?
Hi Baidh,
Thanks for being part of the WP:ELIT project. I wonder if we could get your expert opinion on the notability for Carolina Gainza? I translated this from the Spanish Wikipedia, and people have noted that she might not be notable due to her low h-index factor. However, h-index factors are not really applicable to this small niche humanities field (when you have 10 books a year, 10 citations is pretty good!) Moreover, she is an important pioneer in this field, and I am just not sure how to handle these notability criteria? Could you give us your objective opinion? Thanks!
