I generally keep a very low profile, and spend most of time editing 19th-century baseball articles. I try to be helpful even though my editing becomes sporadic at times. I will continue my pursuits in making this online encyclopedia the best it can be...and free! WikiGnoming is one of the most satisfying tasks on Wikipedia, IMO. I feel humbled, considering User:Matty.007 is one of those "endangered species" of good editors who should be retained, and is currently undecided on whether to stay or go. But kudos to this project. Thank you everyone and all who stumble across this. It will eventually make its way over to my User Page. First tho, I have cataract and glaucoma surgery in a few weeks to get through. Buster, in his generous note, mentions our list. For me that project was a god send because I could do a lot of work using a magnifying glass - since what I was engaged in was essentially data entry from one or two sources to wikipedia. However more complex editing is sort of out-of-reach for a bit and so receiving this very meaningful award is a very gratifying way to slip into semi-retirement until surgery, recovery and then new glasses have done what they are going to do. Few of us (wikipedia editors) do what we do for the recognition involved so when something like this comes along it is - for me at least - doubly or triply - significant. Unbelievable! I had no idea such an award like this even existed, nor would I have thought I would receive one; I'm humbled. I joined a about 4 years ago just to play around with Wikipedia, and I started a WikiProject in 2012. Last year I went off to Utica, and noticed its article, which I thought could be improved to look like WP:USCITIES. As I was doing this, as John from Idegon pointed out, we had an SPA problem which caused me to overreact and manually undo each edit. I soon discovered rollback and revision revert, and used them to my advantage. Sections of the article felt bloated without citations. I trimmed them down, and in the process of rebuilding them, I noticed the article's "further reading" section was actually a list of general references! I would use these the next few months and the rest is history. Once again, thanks to everyone who supported me for this award and also thanks to {{u|Herostratus}}, who commended me early in the process and kept a watchful eye over the article before the vandalism. • First off, does this come with a cash prize? I ask due to the circumstances during the holiday season where my husband refused to purchase items #31, #46-48, #77, #106, and anything above line item 175 on my Christmas wish list this year. Something about his credit score and 10-years of wages...I'm not sure as I stopped listening. He can be so selfish sometimes.

:If I can be one of just a relative few to be recognized under the Editor of the Week system, boy, there has to be thousands more deserving. If I may, in this brief moment of the spotlight, use this time to encourage all editors to remember that we all come from somewhere, that we all have a hometown or region of this Earth we come from. In just a few hours, spread out over weeks or months, any of us can find online or library or bookstore sources to help flesh out the community, town, and city articles that are dear to us (or that we just flat-out enjoy). Expanding our underserved community articles may one day influence new editors to join, or may just simply provide information to citizens of that town, possibly giving them a bit more knowledge, a touch more local pride, and maybe a sense that their notable community isn't lost in the bright glare of the big cities...that their community has value and meaning. A story to be told.

:My deepest thanks to @QuicoleJR for the nomination. We crossed paths one day and they've been an enormous help in one of my many great nemesis's here - coding.
