|desc=The schooner was wrecked at Taieri Mouth in New Zealand. The vessel was waiting for high water in order to cross the bar, but a gale blew up and the Sarah began to take on water. To reduce the risk of losing lives, the captain tried to enter the river, but struck the bar. The crew took to a lifeboat and were saved.
