File:Tallest buildings in Canada.png (note: Trump Hotel is now known as The St. Regis Toronto and First Bank Tower is now First Canadian Place)]]{{Update|date=March 2024}}

This is a list of the tallest buildings in Canada. As of December 2024 there are a total of 157 completed and under construction buildings in Canada with an official height of {{convert|150|m|ft|0|abbr=on}} or more. Greater Toronto has 87 (Toronto 84 (including the six tallest buildings in Canada), Mississauga has 3, Metro Vancouver has 24 (Burnaby 13, Vancouver 8, Surrey 1, Coquitlam 1, New Westminster 1), Calgary has 19, Montreal has 11, Edmonton has 2 (including the tallest outside Toronto), and Niagara Falls has 1.

Five of Canada's ten largest cities enforce height restriction laws. In Ottawa, skyscrapers could not be built above the height of the Peace Tower until the late 1970s, when the restriction was changed so that no building could overwhelm the skyline.{{cite web|url=http://ottawa.ca/en/residents/laws-licenses-and-permits/laws/city-ottawa-zoning-law/zoning-law-2008-250-consolidation-18|title=Permitted Projections Above the Height Limit (Sec. 64)|year=2008|publisher=City of Ottawa|access-date=March 10, 2013|archive-date=October 21, 2016|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20161021174556/http://ottawa.ca/en/residents/laws-licenses-and-permits/laws/city-ottawa-zoning-law/zoning-law-2008-250-consolidation-18|url-status=dead}} In Montreal, skyscrapers cannot be built above 200m of height nor the elevation of Mount Royal.{{cite web|title=Les limites de hauteure|url=https://ville.montreal.qc.ca/portal/page?_dad=portal&_pageid=2761,3098430&_schema=PORTAL|publisher=Ville de Montréal|access-date=December 4, 2023}} The City of Vancouver has enacted "view corridors" which limit the height of buildings in most areas of downtown.{{cite web|title=Protecting Vancouver's views|url=http://vancouver.ca/home-property-development/protecting-vancouvers-views.aspx|publisher=City of Vancouver|access-date=March 10, 2013}} The City of Edmonton had an elevation restriction, approximately {{convert|150|m|ft|0|abbr=on}} above downtown, due to the proximity of the city centre airport, until it closed in November 2013.{{cite web|title=Edmonton City Centre Airport|url=http://www.edmonton.ca/city_government/documents/EdmCityCentreAirport18Jun2008.pdf#page=11|publisher=City of Edmonton|access-date=March 10, 2013|date=May 15, 2008|archive-date=May 4, 2015|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150504094540/http://www.edmonton.ca/city_government/documents/EdmCityCentreAirport18Jun2008.pdf#page=11|url-status=dead}}{{cite news|title=Tallest tower in the West pitched for Edmonton|url=http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/tallest-tower-in-the-west-pitched-for-edmonton-1.2355398|publisher=CBC News|access-date=December 1, 2013|date=November 4, 2013}}

This list does not include towers, including the CN Tower in Toronto, as they are not technically considered to be buildings.
