In October 2024, Pawan Kalyan undertook an 11-day purification ritual at the Tirumala temple in response to allegations concerning the sanctity of the Tirupati laddu prasadam. During this period, he was observed experiencing breathlessness, nausea and fatigue, likely due to his pre-existing health conditions, including asthma and back pain. Despite these challenges, he completed the ritual, underscoring his commitment to addressing the concerns and preserving the sanctity of the religious offerings.{{cite web|url=https://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/telugu/out-of-breath-pawan-kalyan-seen-struggling-as-he-visits-tirupati-signs-declaration-form-for-non-hindus-with-daughter-polena-watch-9599790/lite/ |title=Out of breath Pawan Kalyan seen struggling as he visits Tirupati, signs declaration form for non-Hindus with daughter Polena.
